Tips & Tricks (5)
- Butter Temperature Control 🧈Melt your nut butters over low heat or use residual heat from the rice syrup to prevent separation and ensure a smooth, creamy mixture that coats the cereal evenly.
- Rice Syrup Consistency Hack 🍯Warm your rice syrup for 30 seconds in the microwave before mixing to reduce viscosity, making it easier to combine with nut butters and coat all cereal pieces uniformly.
- Press While Warm 🔨Press the mixture into your pan immediately after combining while it's still warm and pliable; waiting even a few minutes allows it to set, making molding difficult and resulting in crumbly treats.
- Parchment Paper Line-Up 📄Line your pan with parchment paper and lightly oil it to prevent sticking; this also creates easy lift-out for clean cuts and prevents the treats from absorbing moisture from the pan.
- Nut Butter Ratio Balance ⚖️Use equal parts almond and peanut butter for optimal flavor and texture—almond butter adds richness while peanut butter provides the binding strength needed to hold the crispy cereal together.
