Tips & Tricks (5)
- Chill Dough for Perfect Crinkles 🧊Refrigerate your brownie dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling in powdered sugar to prevent excessive spreading and achieve those signature deep crinkles on top.
- Double-Coat Technique for Texture 🍪Roll each dough ball first in powdered sugar, chill briefly, then roll again for a thicker, crunchier exterior that contrasts beautifully with the fudgy center.
- Use Quality Olive Oil Wisely 🫒Replace butter with extra virgin olive oil in small quantities to keep cookies incredibly moist and tender without adding greasiness—typically 2-3 tablespoons per batch.
- Slightly Underbake for Maximum Fudginess 🕐Remove cookies 1-2 minutes before they appear fully set; they'll continue cooking on the baking sheet and develop that coveted soft, fudgy center that crinkle cookies are known for.
- Room Temperature Eggs for Better Integration 🥚Let eggs sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before mixing to ensure they blend smoothly with the brownie mix and olive oil, creating a more uniform, cohesive dough.
