Brunch Charcuterie Board

Instructions

1
Start by arranging the sliced blueberry cheese, gruyère, and French breakfast cheese on different areas of the board. I like to arrange the cheese in a "triangle" to spread it out.
2
Arrange the mini muffins on one edge of the board. Then, on the opposite edge, arrange the waffles in a staggered row to save space.
3
Add a couple of rows of soft-boiled or hard-boiled eggs. Then, fold the soprressata slices into quarters and stagger them next to the cheeses in a curved pattern. Fold the prosciutto and arrange it in a pile on the board.
4
Spoon the jam into a small serving bowl and place it next to the waffles. Fill in the gaps on the board with piles of grapes, strawberries, and orange slices. Lastly, place the halved kiwis in any small gaps on the board. Serve with maple syrup on the side and enjoy!

Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Temperature Contrast Creates Flavor 🌡️
Warm the Belgian waffles and mini muffins just before serving, then arrange them alongside chilled cheeses and cured meats to create exciting temperature contrasts that enhance overall tasting experience.
  • Strategic Fruit Placement Prevents Sogginess 🍓
Place fresh fruits like kiwis and strawberries last and slightly separated from cheeses to prevent moisture from softening the board, keeping everything crisp and visually appealing throughout service.
  • Maple Syrup Pairing Elevates Savory Elements 🍁
Drizzle pure maple syrup directly over prosciutto and soppressata or use as a dipping sauce with gruyère to create an unexpected sweet-savory combination that guests will remember.
  • Cheese Selection Strategy 🧀
Arrange cheeses from mildest (French breakfast cheese) to strongest (blueberry cheese) so guests naturally progress through flavors, and remove them from refrigeration 30 minutes before serving for optimal taste and texture.
  • Layer Your Board Strategically 📐
Create height variation by stacking waffles and using small bowls for preserves and syrup, then fill gaps with fruit and meats to maximize visual appeal and prevent the board from looking flat or sparse.
