Cajun Shrimp & Sausage Pasta
This Cajun Shrimp & Sausage Pasta is bold, creamy, and absolutely packed with flavor. Perfectly seasoned shrimp and smoky Cajun sausage are sautéed with garlic and onions, then simmered in a luscious, spiced cream sauce. Tossed with tender pasta and finished with Parmesan and parsley, this one-pan meal brings a spicy Southern kick to your weeknight dinner.

- Step 1
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain.
- Step 2
In a skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Step 3
Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Sauté for 2–3 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Step 4
Add diced onion to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until softened, then add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 more minutes.
- Step 5
Add sliced Cajun sausage and cook until slightly browned.
- Step 6
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Season again with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Step 7
Stir in Parmesan cheese and let melt. Add the pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water to thin the sauce as needed.
- Step 8
Add shrimp back into the skillet along with chopped parsley. Stir everything to combine.
- Step 9
Serve hot, topped with extra Parmesan and parsley.
