Tips & Tricks (5)
- Butter Temperature Control 🧈Melt butter over low-medium heat and let it cool slightly before mixing with marshmallows to prevent them from deflating or becoming too greasy.
- Caramel Placement Strategy 🍯Chop caramels into small pieces and fold them in at the very end, just before pressing into the pan, so they stay intact and chewy rather than melting completely into the mixture.
- Graham Cracker Layer Technique 🍪Crush graham crackers into varied sizes (some fine, some chunky) and reserve the larger pieces for the top layer to maintain textural contrast and prevent sogginess.
- Chocolate Melting Method 🍫Use a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals with stirring to gently melt semisweet chocolate, preventing it from seizing and ensuring a smooth, glossy coating on your treats.
- Perfect Setting Time ⏱️Refrigerate the treats for at least 2-3 hours before cutting with buttered scissors or a hot knife to achieve clean edges and prevent the treats from crumbling apart.
