Cherry Cheesecake Dessert Wontons
Cherry Cheesecake Dessert Wontons are a delicious finger food twist to classic cherry cheesecake. These are seriously so addicting. These Cherry Cheesecake Wontons are so fun to make with your kids, they will have a ball filling and wrapping the wontons. Your whole family will devour this wonton dessert recipe. - Step 1
In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered icing sugar, vanilla extract and greek yogurt until smooth and well-combined.
- Step 2
Lay a few wontons out on a cutting board and place a wet paper towel over the remaining wonton wrappers to keep them from drying out.
- Step 3
Scoop 1 teaspoon of the cheesecake filling and 1 teaspoon of the cherry pie filling onto the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Step 4
Brush the edges of each wonton wrapper with a bit of water and then folder over into a triangle shape, pressing to seal and remove all air from the wonton.
- Step 5
Repeat with all wontons wrappers.
- Step 6
Place the cooking oil in a heavy pan or dutch oven and heat to 300F.
- Step 7
Fry the wontons 3-4 at a time until lightly golden, flipping over halfway through cooking, about 3 minutes each batch.
- Step 8
Repeat until all wontons are fried.
