Ingredients

  • 1 can - Cherry Pie Filling
  • ½ cups - Brown Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons - Honey
  • 1 box - Yellow or White Cake Mix
  • ½ cup - Unsalted Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350℉.
  2. Grease a 9"x13" baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cherry pie filling with the brown sugar and stir.
  4. Pour in the cherry pie filling mixture into the baking dish and spread it evenly across the bottom. If using fresh cherries, mix them with a small amount of sugar before adding them.
  5. Drizzle honey over the top of the cherry mixture.
  6. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cherry filling. Don't stir it but let it sit on top.
  7. Pour the melted butter evenly over the top. Try to cover as much of the cake mix as possible for even baking.
  8. Bake at 350℉ for 45-55 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and bubbly. The edges might be slightly crisp, which is supposed to happen.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
