Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pre-Cook Bacon for Texture Control 🥓Cook bacon until just shy of crispy before chopping and mixing into the filling—this prevents it from becoming rubbery in the air fryer while maintaining that essential smoky crunch.
- Drain Shredded Chicken Thoroughly 💧After shredding cooked chicken breast, press it in a clean kitchen towel to remove excess moisture, preventing soggy egg rolls and ensuring the crispy exterior stays golden.
- Seal Corners with Water 💧Dip your finger in water and trace along the egg roll wrapper edges before folding—this creates an airtight seal that keeps the filling secure and prevents them from bursting open during cooking.
- Freeze Before Air Frying for Extra Crispness ❄️Assemble egg rolls and freeze for at least 2 hours (or overnight) before air frying—frozen egg rolls achieve maximum crispiness with a slightly longer cook time of 12-14 minutes.
- Use Greek Yogurt as Cream Cheese Extender 🎯Mix Greek yogurt with cream cheese in a 1:1 ratio to reduce calories while maintaining creaminess, and add an extra pinch of ranch seasoning to compensate for the diluted flavor profile.
