Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pound Chicken Evenly 🔨Gently pound chicken tenders to uniform thickness (about ¼ inch) to ensure even cooking and prevent dry edges while centers remain undercooked.
- Butter-Toast Your Rolls 🧈Lightly butter and toast the Hawaiian rolls cut-side down in a skillet for 1-2 minutes to create a crispy exterior that won't get soggy from marinara sauce.
- Double-Layer Your Cheese 🧀Place provolone on the hot chicken immediately after frying, then top with a thin layer of Parmesan and cover briefly to melt both cheeses together for superior flavor complexity.
- Warm Your Marinara First 🍅Heat marinara sauce in a separate pan and add fresh minced garlic and parsley to it just before assembly, infusing deeper flavor throughout the slider rather than using cold sauce.
- Pat Chicken Completely Dry 💧After breading, let chicken tenders rest on paper towels for 2-3 minutes to remove excess moisture, which prevents splattering oil and ensures a perfectly golden, crispy crust.
