Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Soak Skewers Strategically 💧
Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before assembling to prevent charring in the oven and ensure even cooking of all components.
  • Marinate Chicken Separately 🌶️
Blend your chipotles in adobo with oil and seasonings, then coat the chicken tenderloins for 15-20 minutes before skewering to deeply infuse the smoky, spicy flavor.
  • Cut Vegetables Uniformly 🔪
Cut bell peppers and onions into similarly-sized chunks as your chicken pieces so everything cooks at the same rate and achieves proper caramelization.
  • Alternate Assembly Pattern 🔄
Thread chicken, pepper, onion, chicken, pepper in a consistent pattern to distribute heat evenly and create visually appealing presentation for serving.
  • Use an Internal Thermometer 🌡️
Check that chicken reaches exactly 165°F in the thickest part using a meat thermometer—this ensures juicy, safe results without overcooking the delicate tenderloins.
