Tips & Tricks (5)
- Brew Coffee Strong & Cool Properly ☕Use a higher coffee-to-water ratio (1:12 instead of standard 1:16) and brew hot coffee, then cool it completely before freezing into cubes to prevent dilution and maintain bold flavor.
- Layer Your Caramel Sauce Strategically 🍫Drizzle chocolate salted caramel sauce on the inside of your glass before adding liquid ingredients—this creates a luxurious coating and prevents the sauce from settling at the bottom.
- Chill Your Glass First ❄️Place your serving glass in the freezer for 5 minutes before assembly to keep the drink colder longer and enhance the premium presentation and taste experience.
- Balance Your Cream-to-Coffee Ratio 🥛Use a 1:2 ratio of half-and-half to coffee for a rich, creamy texture that complements the caramel without overpowering the coffee's boldness and natural bitterness.
- Temper the Salted Caramel Flavor 🎯Start with half the recommended salted caramel flavoring and adjust upward—homemade versions are often more concentrated than commercial coffee shop blends, preventing an overly sweet final drink.
