Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to 325℉. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with oil and line it with parchment paper, letting the edges hang over the sides of the pan.
2
Place the melted butter and brown sugar in a large bowl and whisk until combined. Add the mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla and continue mixing.
3
Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until combined. Add to the combined wet ingredients alongside the chocolate chips and mix just until no lumps remain - be careful not to overmix!
4
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in preheated oven for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
5
Let cool for 5 minutes and then lift the loaf out of the pan using the parchment paper as handles and let cool on a wire rack for at least 20 minutes before slicing to serve warm with butter or let cool fully before putting away. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Banana Ripeness is Everything 🍌Use bananas with brown spots and slightly soft skin for maximum sweetness and moisture. Overripe bananas (mostly brown) yield the most tender, flavorful bread with less need for added sugar.
- Toast Your Chocolate Chips 🍫Lightly toast semisweet chocolate chips in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes before folding them in to intensify their flavor and prevent them from sinking to the bottom during baking.
- Brown Butter Deepens Flavor 🧈Melt your salted butter until it turns golden brown and nutty (3-4 minutes), then cool slightly before mixing into the batter for a sophisticated, rich depth that elevates the entire loaf.
- Don't Overmix the Batter ⚡Fold ingredients together gently until just combined—overmixing develops gluten and creates a dense, tough crumb instead of the tender, moist texture this recipe promises.
- Cool Properly for Best Texture ❄️Let the bread cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely—this prevents condensation from making the bottom soggy while maintaining interior moisture.
