Tips & Tricks (5)
- Enhance Cake Mix with Root Beer 🥤Replace half the water in the boxed mix with root beer to infuse deeper flavor throughout the cake, creating a more authentic root beer float experience.
- Crush Candies at the Right Time 🍬Pulse root beer barrel candies in a food processor just before using to create consistent pieces, then fold them into batter at the last moment to prevent color bleeding.
- Layer Fudge and Frosting Strategically 🍫Pipe a thin layer of dark chocolate fudge into the cupcake liner before adding batter to create a surprise fudge center that enhances moisture and richness.
- Cool Completely Before Frosting ❄️Allow cupcakes to cool to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before frosting to prevent the chocolate frosting from melting and sliding off the sides.
- Top with Candy While Frosting Sets 👑Place a root beer barrel candy on top of each cupcake immediately after frosting while the chocolate is still slightly tacky, ensuring it adheres perfectly for presentation.
