Tips & Tricks (5)
- Bread Selection is Critical 🍞Use day-old brioche or soft milk bread that's thick-cut (¾-inch), as it absorbs the egg mixture without becoming soggy while maintaining its fluffy interior.
- Cinnamon-Sugar Seal Technique 🌀Press the cinnamon-sugar filling firmly into the bread before rolling, then seal the seam with a small amount of melted butter to prevent unraveling during cooking.
- Egg Custard Temperature Balance 🥚Warm your milk and eggs to room temperature before mixing to ensure even absorption into the bread and achieve that perfect custardy center without overcooking the exterior.
- Butter-Kissed Pan Technique 🧈Use clarified butter or a mix of butter and oil in your skillet, maintaining medium heat to achieve a golden-brown caramelized crust while keeping the inside tender and moist.
- Condensed Milk Drizzle Application 🍶Warm your condensed milk slightly before drizzling to make it flow smoothly, and apply it after plating while the toast is still hot for optimal absorption and sweetness distribution.
