Ingredients

  • ½ lb - pasta
  • 3 tablespoons - unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp - olive oil
  • 3 cloves - garlic
  • 1 cup - heavy cream
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • ¾ cup - grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup - reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta water and drain.
  2. In a large pan, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Stir in 3/4 cup Parmesan and mix until fully melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss to coat and finish with a bit more Parmesan.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
