Tips & Tricks (5)
- Cheese Grating Technique 🧀Always grate Parmesan cheese fresh using a microplane or fine grater to ensure maximum meltability and prevent clumping in the sauce.
- Pasta Water Magic 💧Reserve at least 1 cup of pasta cooking water before draining - the starchy liquid is crucial for creating a silky, emulsified Alfredo sauce that clings perfectly to the pasta.
- Garlic Infusion Technique 🧄Gently toast minced garlic in butter over low heat to release its aromatics without burning, which can make the sauce bitter and acrid.
- Cream Temperature Trick 🥛Bring heavy cream to room temperature before adding to the sauce to prevent curdling and ensure a smooth, consistent texture.
- Pasta Doneness Secret 🍝Always cook pasta 1-2 minutes less than package instructions for al dente texture, as it will continue cooking when mixed with the hot sauce.
