Ingredients

  • 1 cup - dairy free milk
  • 1 tbsp - apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp - ground flax seed
  • 2 tablespoons - avocado oil
  • 1 tbsp - maple syrup
  • 1 cup - all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup - cornmeal
  • 1 tbsp - baking powder
  • ½ tsp - baking soda
  • ½ tsp - salt

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together wet ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients together. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir to combine. Preheat the waffle iron and let the batter sit for at least 5 minutes.
  2. Grease the waffle iron, then working in batches, pour about 1 cup of the batter onto the iron, close, and let cook for about 4-6 minutes, or until crispy. Once cooked, remove from waffle maker, and repeat with remaining batter.
  3. Serve immediately or let cool on a wire rack until ready to eat or store.
