Instructions
1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2
Slice baguette into ½-inch to ¾-inch slices. You need 18 slices.
3
Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil. Bake for 8 minutes, flip and bake for another 7 minutes, until golden and crisp. Let cool slightly.
4
Meanwhile, make the goat cheese spread. In a medium bowl, combine goat cheese, softened cream cheese and 1 tablespoon orange juice. Mix until smooth and creamy.
5
Assemble the crostini by spreading a heaping spoonful of the goat cheese mixture onto each toasted baguette slice.
6
Spoon a small amount of Cranberry and Orange Sauce on top of the cheese layer. Garnish with chopped fresh mint and zest orange over each.
7
Transfer to a platter and serve immediately.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Toast Baguette at High Heat 🔥Brush baguette slices lightly with olive oil and toast at 400°F for 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy, creating a sturdy base that won't absorb moisture from the toppings.
- Whip Goat Cheese for Texture 🥄Blend goat cheese with a splash of orange juice and cream cheese using a mixer for 2-3 minutes to create an airy, spreadable consistency that's easier to pipe or dollop.
- Make Cranberry Sauce One Day Ahead 📅Prepare the cranberry-orange sauce the day before to allow flavors to meld and intensify, then gently warm before serving for better flavor integration.
- Balance Tartness with Orange Zest 🍊Add fresh orange zest to both the whipped cheese and as a final garnish to amplify citrus brightness and prevent the cranberry tartness from overwhelming the delicate goat cheese.
- Assemble Just Before Serving ⏰Top crostini within 15 minutes of serving to maintain crispness—assemble components separately ahead of time, then combine just before plating for optimal texture and presentation.
