  • ½ pound - pasta
  • 2 tablespoon - unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon - olive oil
  • 2 cloves - garlic
  • 1 cup - heavy cream
  • 1  - lemon
  •   - Salt
  •   - Black pepper
  • ½ cup - Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup - reserved pasta water

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water and drain.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and continue tossing until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  7. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan and a crack of black pepper if desired.
