Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Celery

Instructions

Peel the celery and cut it into large chunks. Wash the potatoes and put them in a pot along with the celery.

Fill a pot with water so that all the potatoes are covered and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer the potatoes with the lid partially closed for about 20 minutes, or until tender.

Drain the potatoes and celery and let them steam briefly, then peel off the potato skin with a small kitchen knife.

Press peeled potatoes and celery through a potato ricer or mash with a potato masher. Stir in cheese and milk, and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
