Place the peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, and sugar in a bowl and stir until a creamy sauce forms.

Peel and finely chop 1 clove of garlic (or press it through a garlic press) and add it to the sauce along with the spices. Gradually stir in the water until the sauce reaches your desired consistency. Season with chili flakes to taste.
