  • ½ pound - giant pasta noodles
  • 3 tablespoon - unsalted butter
  •  Dash - olive oil
  • 3 cloves - garlic
  • 3 tablespoon - tomato paste
  • ½ cup - tomato sauce
  • 1 cup - heavy cream
  •   - Salt
  •   - Black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon - garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon - onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon - red chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon - dried parsley
  • ½ cup - Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup - reserved pasta water
  •  Handful - fresh basil

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water and drain.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter with a dash of olive oil.
  3. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Stir in tomato paste and cook until it deepens in color, about 2–3 minutes.
  5. Add tomato sauce and mix until smooth.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili flakes, and parsley.
  7. Add cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss to coat evenly.
  8. Stir in grated Parmesan and fresh basil. Cook together for a few more minutes until sauce thickens.
  9. Top with more Parmesan and basil before serving.
