Tips & Tricks (5)
- Reserve Pasta Water First 💧Always reserve at least 1 cup of starchy pasta water before draining—this is crucial for emulsifying your cream sauce and achieving the perfect silky consistency without adding extra cream.
- Bloom Garlic in Butter 🧈Toast minced garlic in butter over medium heat for 30-45 seconds before adding cream to develop deep, mellow garlic flavor that won't overpower the delicate truffle notes.
- Add Truffle Oil Last ✨Never heat truffle oil—add it only after removing the pan from heat and just before serving to preserve its complex aromatic compounds and prevent the flavor from becoming bitter.
- Cheese Temperature Strategy 🧀Mix mascarpone, fontina, and mozzarella off-heat into the warm pasta and sauce to prevent graininess; add the Parmesan last since it melts at a lower temperature and can become stringy if overheated.
- Burrata Placement Timing 🎯Place the truffle burrata ball on each warm plate just before serving so the creamy center melts slightly into the pasta without fully breaking apart, creating pockets of luxurious burrata throughout.
