Tips & Tricks (5)
- Dry Your Potatoes Thoroughly 💧Pat potatoes completely dry with paper towels after cutting and rinsing; excess moisture prevents crisping and creates steam instead of that coveted golden crust.
- Uniform Cube Size = Even Cooking ✂️Cut all potato pieces to approximately ½-inch cubes to ensure they cook at the same rate; larger pieces will remain undercooked while smaller ones burn.
- Shake Halfway Through 🎲Stop at the 10-minute mark and shake the basket vigorously to redistribute potatoes for even browning on all sides and maximum crispiness.
- Oil Coating Technique 🫒Toss potatoes in olive oil first, then add seasonings for even distribution; this prevents spices from settling at the bottom and ensures balanced flavor throughout.
- Preheat at High Temperature 🌡️Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for 3-5 minutes before cooking to create an immediate searing effect that locks in crispiness from the first moment.
