Crispy Air Fryer Tofu

Preheat the air fryer to 200°C. Halve the tofu lengthwise, wrap it in some kitchen roll or a clean tea towel, and press down on the tofu from the top to squeeze out as much liquid as possible.

Cut the tofu into cubes or tear it into pieces about 1 to 2 centimeters in size with your fingers. Place the tofu in a bowl with the starch and oil, and season generously with salt. Cover the bowl with a lid or plate and shake vigorously for a few seconds.

Place the tofu in the air fryer basket, ensuring all cubes are next to each other and not on top of each other. Bake the tofu at 200°C for a total of 15 minutes. After 10 minutes, shake the basket once and then return the tofu to the air fryer for another 5 minutes, until it is nice and crispy.
