Ingredients

  • 2 pound - lean ground beef
  • 1  - onion
  • 3 cloves - garlic
  • 2 teaspoon - cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoon - chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon - garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon - dried oregano
  • 1 ½ teaspoon - salt
  • ½ teaspoon - black pepper
  • 1 can - black beans
  • 2 cans - kidney beans
  • 2 cans - diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 1 can - diced tomatoes with green chilis, with juice
  • 2 cans - tomato sauce

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened (about 5 minutes).
  3. Transfer the cooked beef mixture to a crockpot.
  4. Add all spices: cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir in black beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomatoes with green chilis, and tomato sauce.
  6. Mix well, cover, and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed before serving.
