Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pre-cook Bacon Until Crispy 🥓Cook bacon until fully crispy before crumbling, as it will continue to soften slightly in the oven and ensures maximum flavor and texture in every bite of the finished quiche.
- Squeeze Spinach Dry Thoroughly 🍃After wilting spinach, place it in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out all excess moisture to prevent a watery quiche and ensure a creamy, custard-like consistency.
- Use Low-Medium Oven Temperature ⏲️Bake at 325-350°F instead of higher temperatures to gently set the custard and prevent the edges from overcooking while the center remains creamy and tender.
- Caramelize Onions for Depth 🧅Slowly caramelize diced onions over medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes before adding to the quiche, developing sweet, complex flavors that elevate the entire dish.
- Blend Eggs and Cream Smoothly 🥣Whisk eggs and heavy cream together until completely smooth before pouring into the dish to ensure an even, silky custard base without lumps or uneven cooking.
