Ingredients

  • 2 cups - flour
  • 2 teaspoons - sugar
  • ¾ tsp - salt
  • ½ tsp - cinnamon
  • ⅔ cup - canola oil
  • 3 tablespoons - milk
  • 4 cups - apples
  • ⅔ cup - sugar
  • 3 tablespoons - flour
  • lemon juice
  • salt
  • 2 teaspoons - cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400℉.
  2. Spray pie plate with an even coating of cooking spray. Add flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt in a pie plate. Stir with fork until combined.
  3. In a small bowl, combine milk and oil and pour over dry ingredients. Reserve ⅓ of the combined dough for the crumb topping.
  4. Press remaining dough into the pie plate, making sure to go up the sides.
  5. Place the apples and sugar in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Add flour to the apples and microwave for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in lemon juice, salt and cinnamon. Pour filling into prepared crust. Scatter the reserved dough across the top for the crumb topping.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
