This delicious, creamy Baileys tiramisu is guaranteed to delight everyone. Instead of coffee, the ladyfingers are soaked in the popular cream liqueur, resulting in an intense Baileys flavor. They are then layered with a delicious, light mascarpone cream in a baking dish. It’s chilled for several hours so the rich flavors meld — making it ideal for serving at dinner parties or special occasions.

Instructions

1
|
Place the quark and powdered sugar in a bowl. Separate the eggs, adding the yolks to the cream and reserving the egg whites for another use. Beat all the ingredients together with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth. Add the mascarpone and briefly mix with the remaining ingredients until combined into a smooth cream.
2
|
Pour Baileys into a shallow bowl or deep plate. Dip the ladyfingers in it on both sides and arrange them side by side in the baking dish.
3
|
Spread slightly less than half of the mascarpone cream onto the cookies and smooth it out. Soak the remaining ladyfingers in Baileys and arrange them side by side on top of the cream.
4
|
Spread the remaining cream over the ladyfingers and smooth it out, or fill it into a piping bag with a large nozzle and pipe it in large dots over the entire surface until it is covered.
5
|
Cover the tiramisu with cling film and refrigerate for about 6 hours. Before serving, place the cocoa powder in a small sieve and sprinkle it over the surface. Serve the tiramisu chilled.

Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Liqueur Soak Technique 🥃
Quickly dip ladyfingers in Baileys to prevent oversaturation - a 1-2 second gentle dunk ensures perfect moisture without making them soggy.
  • Cream Stability Trick 🥚
Ensure egg yolks are at room temperature and whip them gradually with powdered sugar to create a stable, silky mascarpone cream base.
  • Layering Precision 🍰
Use a flat spatula or offset knife to create even, smooth layers that ensure a professional-looking and consistently textured tiramisu.
  • Chilling Optimization ❄️
For maximum flavor development, chill the tiramisu for at least 6-8 hours, preferably overnight, allowing the Baileys to fully infuse the ladyfingers.
  • Cocoa Dusting Hack 🍫
Use a fine-mesh strainer for an ultra-even, light cocoa powder coating that looks elegant and prevents clumping.
