Easy Banana Pudding
For the Banana Pudding:
For the Whipped Cream Topping:
Instructions
1
In a large bowl whisk together the water, milk, and sweetened condensed milk. Add the instant vanilla pudding mix and whisk well for 1 minute until smooth.
2
1 cup cold water, ½ cup milk, 10 ounces sweetened condensed milk, 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
3
Place the whipping cream in another bowl. Using an electric handheld mixer, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until smooth.
4
Layer the pudding mixture, wafer cookies, and sliced bananas into desired serving dishes or 9X13-inch pan starting with a small layer of pudding, then wafers, then more pudding, then bananas, then more pudding, then wafers again, finishing with the last of the pudding on top.
5
In another bowl, combine the whipping cream and powdered sugar. Using an electric handheld mixer, whip the sweetened cream until soft peaks form. Top the layered banana pudding with the whipped cream. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or until the wafers are soft. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Chill Your Bowl and Beaters ❄️Place your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15 minutes before whipping cream to achieve stiff peaks faster and create a more stable, longer-lasting whipped cream layer.
- Layer Strategically for Texture 🎂Alternate thin layers of wafers, pudding, and whipped cream rather than mixing everything together to maintain the cookies' slight crunch and create appealing distinct textures throughout the dessert.
- Slice Bananas Last Minute ⏰Add banana slices only 30 minutes before serving to prevent browning and oxidation, which will keep them fresh-looking and prevent discoloration of the pudding.
- Balance Your Sweetness 🍌Reduce the powdered sugar slightly if using sweetened condensed milk, and taste the pudding mixture before assembly to avoid an overly sweet final dessert that masks the vanilla and banana flavors.
- Soak Wafers Properly 🥛Dip vanilla wafers briefly in cold milk (just 1-2 seconds per side) before layering to soften them slightly without making them soggy, creating the perfect tender-but-textured bite.
