Tips & Tricks (5)
- Room Temperature Ingredients 🌡️Let butter and eggs sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before mixing to ensure even incorporation and prevent lumpy batter that affects cookie texture.
- Don't Overmix the Batter 🥄Mix just until the cake mix is incorporated—overworking develops gluten and makes cookies tough instead of achieving that perfect crispy-to-chewy balance.
- Toast the Butterfinger Bits 🍪Lightly toast the Butterfinger baking bits in a dry skillet for 1-2 minutes before adding to enhance their crispness and intensify the peanut butter flavor.
- Chill Dough Before Baking ❄️Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading and maintain thick, chewy centers with crispy edges throughout baking.
- Pull Cookies Early for Optimal Texture ⏱️Remove cookies from the oven when the edges are golden but the centers still look slightly underdone—they'll continue cooking on the hot pan for perfect crispy-chewy results.
