Tips & Tricks (5)
- Toast Your Pecans First 🥜Lightly toast the pecans in a dry skillet for 2-3 minutes before adding to release their oils and intensify their nutty flavor, creating a more complex taste profile.
- Don't Skip the Seasoning Blend 🧂Mix your onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper together before sprinkling to ensure even distribution and prevent clumping of the powders on the Brussels sprouts.
- Add Balsamic at the End ✨Drizzle the balsamic glaze in the final 30 seconds of cooking rather than at the beginning to preserve its complex sweet-tangy notes and prevent it from burning or becoming too concentrated.
- Pat Your Sprouts Dry 💧Thoroughly dry the Brussels sprouts with paper towels before cooking to ensure they caramelize properly and absorb the olive oil and seasonings more effectively.
- Balance Sweet and Savory 🎯Taste as you go and adjust the ratio of dried cranberries to pecans based on your preference—add more cranberries for sweetness or more pecans for earthiness to customize the flavor balance.
