Easy Sesame Cauliflower
Instructions
1
Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper and pre-heat to 400 degrees F.
2
In a medium shallow bowl, whisk together the plant milk and flour.
3
Dip the cauliflower florets into the batter, allowing any excess batter to drip off.
4
Place the cauliflower in the air fryer, making sure they do not touch. You don’t want to overcrowd the basket!* Air fry at 400F for 12-15 minutes or until the cauliflower are a nice golden brown.
5
Prepare the sauce by combining the remaining ingredients (water, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger) in a small pan over medium heat. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook until it has reduced and thickened– about 5 minutes. Then, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool for 5 minutes before saucing
6
Once the cauliflower is done, place it in a large bowl and pour the sauce over top. Toss to combine and serve immediately. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion as desired. ENJOY!
Notes
1
To cook in the oven: Pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees F. Place the battered cauliflower on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through. Proceed with the recipe as written.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Dry Your Cauliflower Thoroughly 💧Pat the cauliflower florets completely dry with paper towels before coating to ensure maximum crispiness and prevent the breading from getting soggy during cooking.
- Create a Slurry for Optimal Coating 🥣Mix your flour and cornstarch with almond milk into a smooth batter first, then whisk in the seasonings to ensure even distribution and a perfectly crispy exterior that clings to every floret.
- Toast Your Sesame Oil First ✨Heat the sesame oil in a small pan for 30 seconds before adding to your sauce to unlock its nutty, aromatic compounds and amplify the depth of flavor in your glaze.
- Layer Your Aromatics Properly 🧄Add minced ginger and garlic to your sauce at the very end and let them bloom in the residual heat for just 30 seconds to preserve their fresh, pungent qualities rather than cooking them into bitterness.
- Air Fryer Spacing Maximizes Crispness 🌬️Arrange cauliflower in a single layer without crowding and shake the basket halfway through cooking to ensure all sides get equal airflow and develop an even, golden-crispy texture.
