Easy Smoked Salmon Dip (Ready in 10 Minutes!)
Easy Smoked Salmon Dip
Optional Dippers
Instructions
1
Using a whisk, a handheld electric beater, or a stand mixer, whip the cream cheese and the sour cream together.
2
Mix in the herbs, the capers, the worcestershire sauce, and the lemon zest until they’re fully combined with the cream cheese and sour cream.
3
Add the smoked salmon and mix it in. You can do this with a spoon if you want larger pieces of the salmon, or you can use a whisk, beater, or stand mixer if you want the salmon to be more integrated into the dip (this is our preferred method). Tip (optional): leave about 1 tablespoon of salmon out of the mixture to garnish on top.
4
Garnish the dip with extra smoked salmon (if you left some out), fresh dill, and lemon zest, if desired. Spread the easy smoked salmon dip onto slices of toasted baguette or crackers.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Room Temperature Base 🧈Let your cream cheese and sour cream sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before mixing to ensure a smooth, lump-free dip with better ingredient integration.
- Flake Salmon Strategically 🐟Reserve some larger salmon flakes to fold in at the end rather than blending everything together—this preserves texture and creates elegant, visible pieces throughout the dip.
- Balance Acidity Carefully 🍋Add lemon juice gradually while tasting, as it can easily overpower the delicate smoked salmon; start with half a lemon and adjust to preference for brightness without bitterness.
- Chill Before Serving ❄️Refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving to let flavors meld together and achieve the perfect creamy consistency that's easier to serve.
- Toast Your Crostini 🥖Brush baguette slices lightly with olive oil and toast at 375°F for 8-10 minutes until golden—this prevents soggy crackers and adds a pleasant textural contrast to the creamy dip.
