Instructions
1
|
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2
|
Start by mixing the first five ingredients listed together either with a mixer that has a bread hook attachment or in a large bowl (make sure not to over mix the dough).
3
|
Once combined, divide the dough into two greased and floured bread pans.
4
|
Next let the dough rise in the pans until it reaches the top of the pan (about 30 minutes).
5
|
Then, place the bread in the oven. Bake the bread for 35 minutes on the center oven rack.
6
|
Then 10 minutes before the bread is done, brush the surface of the bread with melted butter.
7
|
Place the bread back in the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Keep a close eye on your toast bread so it doesn't get too dark.
8
|
After baking, let the bread cool in pans for about 5 minutes before placing it on a wire rack.
9
|
Finally, after allowing the bread to cool completely, cut and serve.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Activate Your Yeast Properly 🧪Proof the rapid rise yeast in warm water (110°F) for 5-10 minutes before mixing to ensure it's alive and active, resulting in better rise and texture.
- Use the Windowpane Test 🪟After kneading, stretch a small piece of dough until translucent without tearing to confirm proper gluten development for optimal bread structure and chewiness.
- Create Steam for Crispy Crust 💨Place a hot pan of water on the oven floor while baking to generate steam, which creates that signature English muffin-style crispy exterior while keeping the interior tender.
- Toast at the Right Temperature ⏱️Slice your cooled bread and toast at medium heat to avoid burning the exterior while gently warming the interior for the perfect crispy-yet-fluffy bite.
- Cold Butter Lamination Technique 🧈Incorporate cold butter pieces between dough folds during the final mixing stage to create delicate layers that toast beautifully and add richness to each slice.
