Instructions

Spread both slices of bread thinly with mustard and season with a little salt and pepper. Distribute the ham on one slice and place the cheese on the other.

Wash the fig and arugula thoroughly, spin the arugula dry. Cut off the stem ends of the fig and slice it thinly, then arrange the slices on the ham. Place the arugula on top and fold the two slices of bread together.

Fry the sandwich in a preheated panini grill for three to four minutes. Alternatively, fry it in a non-stick pan over medium heat for two to three minutes on each side, until the bread is crispy on the outside and the cheese is melted on the inside.
