Ingredients

  • 4 - Bananas, ripe
  • 12 ounces - Chocolate Chips, semi sweet or milk chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons - Shortening
  • Peanuts

Instructions

  1. Peel bananas and cut in half. Push a popsicle stick into each banana half and then place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  2. Freeze for at least 3 hours or do the night before.
  3. Microwave chocolate with shortening in a microwave safe bowl, for thirty seconds on low, stir with a rubber spatula and continue to microwave and stir in 15 second intervals until chocolate is melted and smooth.
  4. Dip banana in chocolate.
  5. Immediately, apply nuts and set on parchment paper to set.
  6. Allow to harden and then serve or refreeze until ready to serve.
