Tips & Tricks (5)
- Dry Your Beans Thoroughly 💧Pat green beans completely dry with paper towels before tossing with oil to ensure they roast evenly and develop a golden exterior rather than steaming.
- Toast Garlic Separately ✨Mince garlic and toast it in oil for 1-2 minutes before adding beans to prevent burning and develop a rich, sweet garlic flavor instead of harsh or bitter notes.
- Single Layer on Baking Sheet 📋Spread beans in a single layer without crowding to allow hot air circulation and even roasting—overcrowding causes steaming instead of the desired caramelization.
- Add Parmesan at the End 🧀Toss Parmesan cheese with the hot beans immediately after roasting so it melts slightly and clings better than if added before cooking, which can cause burning.
- High Heat for Better Texture 🔥Roast at 425°F or higher to create crispy, caramelized edges on the beans within 15-18 minutes, achieving superior texture over lower temperature roasting.
