Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Quaker Old Fashioned Oats
  • ½ cup - walnuts
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 1 tsp - ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp - salt
  • ¼ tsp - ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp - ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp - ground allspice
  • ¼ tsp - ground cloves
  • 1 cup - milk of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons - cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons - molasses
  • 1 tbsp - ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp - vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. In a large-sized mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Using a second medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients.
  2. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir until combined. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish (1 ⅘ quart rectangle or 2 quart square).
  3. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely then slice into bars.
