Tips & Tricks (5)
- Use Natural Release for Tender Results 🫗Allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for 5 minutes before quick-releasing to keep carrots intact and prevent them from becoming mushy.
- Caramelize the Glaze Post-Cooking 🍯Use the sauté function after cooking to reduce the braising liquid and deepen the brown sugar glaze for a richer, more concentrated flavor and glossy finish.
- Size Your Carrots Uniformly 🥕Cut baby carrots lengthwise if they're large, or halve them to ensure even cooking and consistent tenderness throughout the batch.
- Brown Butter for Enhanced Flavor 🧈Toast the butter in the Instant Pot before adding other ingredients to develop nutty, complex notes that elevate the entire glaze.
- Add Finishing Spices at the End ✨Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, or fresh thyme after cooking to add sophisticated depth without overwhelming the delicate carrot flavor.
