Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Use Natural Release for Perfect Texture 💨
Allow 5 minutes of natural pressure release before quick-releasing to prevent the carrots from becoming mushy and maintain their tender-crisp bite.
  • Dry Your Carrots First 🥕
Pat baby carrots completely dry with paper towels before cooking to ensure the glaze adheres properly and caramelizes beautifully rather than steaming.
  • Brown the Glaze After Cooking 🎨
Use the sauté function to reduce and concentrate the glaze for 2-3 minutes after pressure cooking, creating a rich, glossy coating that clings to each carrot.
  • Don't Skip the Trivet 🔧
Always use the trivet to elevate carrots above water, allowing them to steam-pressure cook evenly rather than boil, resulting in better texture and flavor absorption.
  • Add Butter at the End 🧈
Stir in cold butter during the final glaze reduction off heat to emulsify the sauce and create a silky, restaurant-quality finish without breaking the glaze.
