Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons - Brown sugar
  • ½ tsp - Salt
  • ¼ tsp - allspice
  • 1 - Red onion
  • 1 lb - Ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons - Fresh parsley
  • 1 ½ teaspoons - Cumin
  • ½ tsp - Ground chipotle pepper
  • ½ tsp - Salt
  • ⅛ tsp - Allspice
  • 1 tsp - Canola oil
  • 4 slices - Provolone cheese
  • 4 - Whole wheat buns

Instructions

  1. Combine vinegar, brown sugar, salt and all spice in a medium microwave safe bowl.
  2. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes or until the mixture boils. You can also bring the mixture to a boil in a saucepan on the stove.
  3. Add onions and toss to coat.
  4. Let stand for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Combine the turkey, parsley, cumin, pepper, salt and all spice in a large bowl.
  6. Mix until combined; form mixture into four patties.
  7. Brush patties with canola oil and grill until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
  8. Top with cheese and serve on buns.
