Ingredients
- 1 cup - Red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons - Brown sugar
- ½ tsp - Salt
- ¼ tsp - allspice
- 1 - Red onion
- 1 lb - Ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons - Fresh parsley
- 1 ½ teaspoons - Cumin
- ½ tsp - Ground chipotle pepper
- ½ tsp - Salt
- ⅛ tsp - Allspice
- 1 tsp - Canola oil
- 4 slices - Provolone cheese
- 4 - Whole wheat buns
Instructions
- Combine vinegar, brown sugar, salt and all spice in a medium microwave safe bowl.
- Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes or until the mixture boils. You can also bring the mixture to a boil in a saucepan on the stove.
- Add onions and toss to coat.
- Let stand for at least 30 minutes.
- Combine the turkey, parsley, cumin, pepper, salt and all spice in a large bowl.
- Mix until combined; form mixture into four patties.
- Brush patties with canola oil and grill until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
- Top with cheese and serve on buns.
