Instructions
1
|
Place first 4 ingredients into a blender or food processor and purée until smooth or desired consistency.
2
|
Layer bean dip on bottom of a pie plate, followed by a thin layer of salsa, then guacamole.
3
|
Place sour cream (adding a little water if too thick) in a small plastic zip bag, squeeze to the corner of the bag and twist the bag like a pastry bag. Use scissors to cut off an 1/8-1/4 inch tip of one corner of the bag. Use as a piping bag for the spider web design.
4
|
Pipe sour cream into a spider web design on top of the dip. Cut 1 olive into "legs" and add black olive "spiders" for garnish.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Prevent Watery Guacamole 🥑Prepare guacamole as close to serving time as possible and press plastic wrap directly onto its surface to minimize oxidation and separation that can release excess moisture into your dip layers.
- Create Clean Layer Lines 🎨Use the back of a spoon to gently spread each layer in a circular motion, and chill the dip for 30 minutes between adding thicker components like beans and guacamole to maintain distinct, attractive layers.
- Balance Moisture with Greek Yogurt 🥄Mix your sour cream with Greek yogurt in a 1:1 ratio to reduce excess moisture while maintaining creaminess, preventing the dip from becoming watery as ingredients settle.
- Toast Black Olives for Depth 🖤Quickly dry-toast your sliced black olives in a skillet for 2-3 minutes before garnishing to intensify their flavor and reduce surface moisture that could weep into the dip.
- Season Black Beans Separately ⚫Drain and rinse canned black beans, then season them with salt, lemon juice, and cumin before layering to infuse them with flavor throughout rather than relying solely on the salsa and toppings.
