Tips & Tricks (5)
- Brown Meat Properly for Depth 🍖Don't stir the ground meat immediately; let it sit undisturbed for 2-3 minutes per side to develop a flavorful crust before breaking it up, creating rich caramelization that elevates the entire dish.
- Bloom Your Spices 🌟Toast the onion powder and garlic powder in the residual meat fat for 30 seconds before adding liquid to unlock their full aromatic potential and prevent a raw, dusty flavor.
- Use Tapioca Flour Strategically 🥄Mix the tapioca flour with a splash of cold broth before adding to the skillet to prevent lumps and create a silky, uniform sauce that coats the pasta perfectly without a starchy taste.
- Finish with Coconut Milk Last ✨Stir in the canned coconut milk in the final 2 minutes of cooking at low heat to preserve its creamy richness and prevent it from breaking or becoming too thin when combined with acidic tomato sauce.
- Taste and Layer Your Seasoning 🎯Season in stages—once with the meat, again after adding broth, and finally before serving—rather than all at once, allowing each layer to build complexity and ensuring balanced flavors throughout.
