Tips & Tricks (5)
- Dry Your Shrimp Thoroughly 💧Pat shrimp completely dry with paper towels before breading—excess moisture prevents crispy coating and causes oil splattering during air-frying.
- Double-Dredge for Extra Crunch 🍤Dip breaded shrimp back into the egg wash and panko mixture for a second coating to achieve that restaurant-quality crispy exterior that holds up to the sauce.
- Balance Your Bang Bang Sauce 🌶️Taste and adjust the sauce ratio—use Greek yogurt as your base to temper heat and add creaminess while maintaining that spicy-sweet signature flavor without excess calories.
- Toast Your Tortillas First 🔥Lightly spray and warm your low-calorie tortillas in a skillet or air fryer for 30 seconds per side to add structural integrity and prevent sogginess from the slaw and sauce.
- Assemble Right Before Serving ⏱️Build your tacos immediately before eating—assemble slaw, then hot shrimp, then sauce last to keep the tortilla crispy and prevent the slaw from releasing excess moisture that makes everything soggy.
