Ingredients

  • 2 cloves - garlic
  • 2 cans - cannellini beans
  • 2 teaspoons - olive oil
  • 1 tbsp - tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons - agave syrup
  • ⅔ cup - passata (tomato sauce)

  1. Peel and thinly slice the garlic. Drain the beans in a colander, rinse them well, and set aside to drain.
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant. Stir in the tomato paste and syrup and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce and stir until well combined. Add the beans and bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.
  4. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are heated through and the sauce has slightly thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve with toast, crusty bread, or your favorite breakfast dishes.
