
Homemade Chick-fil-A Sandwich

Ingredients
- 1 - chicken breast
- ⅔ cup - pickle juice
- ¼ cup - milk
- 1 tsp - salt
- 1 tsp - paprika
- 1 tsp - garlic powder
- ½ tsp - black pepper
- ½ tsp - MSG
- 1 ¼ cups - all-purpose flour
- egg wash
- ⅓ cup - milk
- 1 - egg
- 3 - buns
- 24 slices - pickle
- 6 slice - tomato
- 3 slice - American cheese
- 3 - crisp lettuce leaves
- 3 tablespoons - mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp - honey
- 1 tbsp - yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp - barbecue sauce
- ½ - lemon
- ½ tsp - garlic powder
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breast into 2 thin fillets. Mix pickle juice, milk, and all the spices in a bowl. Add the chicken, cover, and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- In one bowl: whisk milk and egg. In another bowl: combine flour and the spices.
- Remove chicken from the marinade. Dredge in seasoned flour, dip into egg wash, then back into the flour for a double coating.
- Heat oil to medium-high (around 175–180°C). Fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy, about 4–5 minutes per side. Let rest briefly on a wire rack.
- Stir together mayo, honey, mustard, BBQ sauce, ketchup, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Toast the buns in butter. Spread sauce on the bottom bun. Add lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles. Place the crispy chicken on top. Place the cheesy, crispy chicken on top. Drizzle with more sauce and close with the top bun.
