Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups - homemade condensed milk
  • 1 cup - milk of choice
  • 1 tbsp - maple syrup
  • 1 tsp - arrowroot powder or cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons - vanilla extract
  • 2 cups - milk of choice
  • 1 cup - raisins
  • 1 tsp - cinnamon
  • 1 tsp - almond extract
  • 1 tbsp - cocoa
  • 1 tsp - peppermint extract
  • vanilla bean reserved from soaking above to remain in the mixture
  • 1 tbsp - cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp - almond extract

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients, including optional flavorings, if desired, in a saucepan over low-medium heat.
  2. Whisk until thick, about 2-3 minutes. Cool and refrigerate until ready to use.
  3. Place the milk and raisins in a bowl, cover, and soak overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Strain the milk into a bowl or pitcher and discard the raisins (or eat as a snack!)
