Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Toast Your Oats First 🌾
Spread oats on a baking sheet and toast at 325°F for 5-7 minutes before mixing with wet ingredients to deepen their nutty flavor and prevent sogginess.
  • Stir Every 5 Minutes 🥄
During baking, stir the granola every 5 minutes to ensure even toasting and prevent burning on the edges while keeping the center light and crispy.
  • Cool Completely Before Storing ❄️
Let granola cool to room temperature on the baking sheet for at least 30 minutes—it will crisp up further as it cools, ensuring maximum crunchiness.
  • Add Dried Fruit After Baking 🍒
Fold in dried cherries and any other dried fruits only after the granola has completely cooled to prevent them from getting too soft or sticky.
  • Use Grade A Maple Syrup Strategically 🍁
Mix maple syrup with coconut oil before combining with dry ingredients to ensure even distribution and better caramelization without scorching the nuts.
