Ingredients

  • 1 - chicken breast
  • ½ tsp - salt
  • ½ tsp - black pepper
  • 1 tsp - garlic powder
  • ½ tsp - MSG
  • ¾ cup - all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • ½ tsp - salt
  • ½ tsp - black pepper
  • ½ tsp - garlic powder
  • ½ tsp - MSG
  • flour mix
  • ¾ cup - cold water
  • neutral oil
  • 3 - burger buns
  • iceberg lettuce
  • 12 slices - pickle
  • 4 tablespoons - mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice
  • ½ tsp - garlic powder
  • ½ tsp - onion powder
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breast into chunks and blend in a mixer with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and MSG until smooth. Oil your hands, divide the mixture into 3 equal portions, and shape into round patties. Place on a plate lined with baking paper and freeze for 1 hour to firm up.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and MSG. Dredge the frozen patties in the flour mix. Add 200 ml cold water to the same bowl, stir into a smooth batter. Dip each patty into the batter and place straight into hot oil.
  3. Fry the patties at heat level 8/9 for about 4 minutes, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Toast the burger buns. Spread McChicken sauce on the bottom bun, add shredded lettuce and pickle slices. Place the crispy chicken patty on top, then add more sauce if you like. Close with the top bun.
